English Educator & US Lawyer
I’m Jason. I help adult learners at all levels master US American English, and I specialize in teaching business and legal English to other professionals who desire to work in the United States, with US-based clients, or in other international settings. I offer private, online lessons to learners throughout the world, as well as in-person group trainings and online English-language consultations for businesses, organizations, and other professionals.

General & Business English
I teach English that works in the real world. General lessons build fluency and confidence through meaningful conversation, practical vocabulary, and clear grammar. Business lessons sharpen the skills professionals need most: leading meetings, presenting ideas, negotiating, writing persuasive emails, and communicating with precision. Whether you’re a complete beginner or already an advanced English user, I’ll help you accomplish your language goals.
Legal English
I help lawyers, law students, and other legal professionals communicate accurately and with authority in English. Lessons typically cover legal terminology, legal analysis and reasoning in the common law system, persuasive writing, negotiation techniques, and oral advocacy. Focus is placed on the individual learner’s area of interest or practice.
Social Justice
The English language holds incredible power in today’s world. How we think about and use that power is just as important as knowing accurate grammar. My teaching philosophy and my lessons incorporate critical theory so that learners examine how English has shaped, and continues to shape, our world. Together, we wrestle with the language to help make the world a better place for all of us.
I’m working on several manuscripts focusing on social justice issues in English language teaching, and I’m excited to share those with you soon.
US American Culture
I grew up on a farm in rural North Carolina, where my family has lived since before the American Revolution. I worked in Raleigh and Washington, D.C., in public, private, and government settings. I have traveled extensively throughout the country. Although I now live in Europe, the United States is my home. Its history and culture are deeply rooted in me.
